Corbin, what knowledge of value did you gain?
Would you rather I use the word synonym? Lacking common sense is the same thing as being an idiot.

"senseless person." What do you think 'senseless' means?

Anyone who would draw a gun, even an unloaded one, on cops while she is busy aggressively telling them to leave her alone, lacks common sense and is an idiot.  There is no doubt of that at all.

Now once more I would like to point out that your case here is not helping me defend my conservative views on gun control.  In fact your defense of these people make me wonder if there is something to the liberal stance on gun control.  Hell, let's just give every dumb-ass who asks for one a gun and let them run wild with them.

I thought I had no problem with the present gun laws until watching that video and dealing with your defense of people who clearly are clueless on a phenomenal level.  You are making me rethink my position on this issue, when in general I would be siding with you over the matter.

That video basically is a great piece of propaganda for those who want tighter gun control, not for those against it.

Re: And Corbin, what name calling?
Idiot by definition....really?

id⋅i⋅ot

[id-ee-uht] Show IPA –noun
1. an utterly foolish or senseless person.
2. Psychology. a person of the lowest order in a former classification of mental retardation, having a mental age of less than three years old and an intelligence quotient under 25.

What is it with you on the left belittling people at the expense and degradation of those that are mentally challanged........

And Corbin, what name calling?
Are you saying that people who lack common sense are not idiots?  If you lack common sense, you are an idiot by definition.  What I said there would not be classified as name calling or branding.  Those people in that video clearly lacked common sense.

And you are trying to simplify the issue here.  In certain cases, there are times when people should not be running around with their guns.  If those people had common sense and were not paranoid idiots, then they might have seen the logic as to why law enforcement needed them to not bring their guns with them.

In that video I did see examples of the police over reacting, but most of it was the people themselves showing they lacked common sense and were giving the police little choice.

Corbin, by asking such a question you are implying something
Here is a simple question for you then.

What was the point of asking me that question?

Re: Corbin
I asked a very simple question that required a yes or no answer....the only paranoia I see is coming from the answer given.......you are the one choosing to brand people through your name calling, instead of addressing the issue mentioned.....the illegal seizure and disposal of legally owned guns.......but that's par for the course......

Corbin
No, I don't own a gun.  what is your point?  Are you saying that since I am not some paranoid wacko who believes everyone is out to get him , so I need to get myself a gun to protect me and my family against the imaginary enemies that are trying to break into my house every night, that I should not be allowed to speak my mind about all the idiots out there who have guns and yet lack common sense?  The statistics still say that a person is more likely to shot a family member than a criminal when they have a gun in their house, and the people in that video are the kind of people I would move away from the moment I found out they had a gun, since my life and the life of my family is important to me.

However I do know gun safety, and unlike those in the video here I have common sense.

And still in general I am against gun control, but it is people like those in the video who make it hard for me to argue the conservative side of this issue.

Was I addressing you?  Had you been here a bit longer you would be able to understand the history of the site....and the people herein.

Do you have a gun?
And your point is? That only people who own guns can have a say as to whether nincompoops like this should own them?  Remember that cop wannabe in Georgia last week? Georgia has the 2nd-highest individual gun ownership rate of any state. Lot of good it did them!  If this country had HALF the pre-screening & education standards for guns that we have for automobiles, maybe we wouldn't have so many Columbines, Jewish Center, West Virginias...oh hell, I'm just making myself depressed.

The idea that some of those people have guns scare me
You have one woman who out right says Obama was right with his 'They cling to their guns and Bibles' quote.

And the first old lady.. Well anyone who is stupid enough in such situation where their house is filled with cops to show them they have a gun in their hands... Uh yeah, that person is going to get jumped.  Even old ladies can kill cops with a gun.

I mean none of the people in that video came off as being very bright.  And some of them felt like they would be the kind to start shooting wildly in a panic.

I am generally of a conservative mindset when it comes to gun control, but that video actually made me see the logic of taking guns away from those people at that time.  They didn't seem to have the level of common sense that should be required before letting people have access to firearms.

Putting that video out there is only going to show that we should be more careful with letting people own guns.  Or would it have made you happier for more accidental shootings to have take place during such an already regretful lose of life?
