Re: Stay on topic
This will be the last time I address you.....Have you looked at your profile?  That is where you state you are a Libertarian.......and that caught my eye after reading your comments, it's apparent you're not.

Why are you hung up with the Gay & Lesbian thingy,  suppressing are we?   Here's a thought, why not actually set up a blog or two and enlighten us with your points of view.......instead of lurking.......to the point of trolling!

I pay the price for my membership....and I do it to have fun and enjoy it, I'm not here clinging to my memories of high school or college debating days, nor working at building an image of the proverbial 800 pound gorilla.

I don't care if someone agrees with what I have to say, that is their choice, just as my expressions represent mine.

I don't care of you choose to comment in disagreement.....but since I pay for my little piece of the pie here,  I don't have to take anything intended to be demeaning or personal,  If that is the path you choose to take, you can go and play in someone else's yard.....and shout across the fence.

You decide.......

Stay on topic
Corby, can you at least try to comment on the topic at hand, and spend a little less time obsessing about my profile?  I mean, seriously, this is like the 3rd post where you've commented on my political affiliation, even though I haven't mentioned it in the posts.  Either stay on topic or meet me over in the Relationships category (maybe Gay & Lesbian?)

Re: Rush's ratings.
I suggest you tell it to Chris Matthews.........providing inaccurate information is nothing new for him........

Rush's ratings.
That 25 million figure is pulled out of the Department of My Butt. First of all, no one really knows. Radio ratings are even more guess work that Nielsen ratings.

But more importantly, as someone who knows a little bit about radio ratings, let me dispute that figure

1. Nobody knows current ratings. The most recent Arbitron "book" is from January.  You've heard of "sweeps" week on TV (now conducted in March, not February, which is why we get so many re-runs in February now). Well, radio has similar ratings periods.  And the March one has not been tabulated yet.

2.  Radio ratings are highly secretive.  Radio stations pay Arbitron handsomely for these ratings books; it determines their ad rates, and ultimately their income.  Anybody that broadcasts them on national (ok, advanced cable) TV would be sued up the wazoo by the ratings companies.  Why would anyone pay for them if Chris Matthews would blab them on the air.

Before you swallow such hogwash, use your critical thinking skills.  Personally, I wish Rush's shows were on 24/7 and all 300 million Americans listened to him.  The more he talks, the more he shows what an ill-informed ass he is.  While we may disagree on the "bump" Rush got from the controversy, there is no disagreeing that it hurt the Republican party, helped the Democrats and crippled RNC Chairman Steele and his fundraising efforts.

The more Rush talks, the more money he makes and the more he reminds Americans of the slimy underbelly of the Republican party: the racist, homophobic, xenophobic, sexist anti-intellectual aspect of their party.  Why do you think Carville & Rahm targeted him?  The mud stuck to the Republicans far better than the linking of Rev. Wright &  William Ayers stuck to Obama.
