THAT is why I was such a healthy child, I ran barefoot all over these
deserts, almost without clothing for a decade when out of school and gazed at the sun and clouds and sky and day dreamed constantly, sitting in trees or stretched out on roof tops.
Now, I sit inside, no sun for decades and rarely look at the sky. Not healthy, either, meaning, I am to go back to my childhood ways, I think!!!

I share your love of sun and water. Some of my favorite "moments' are spent floating in my pool w/ the morning sun (between 10am and 11am) shining down on me (summers only, it goes w/out saying). Of course, I'm covered in sunscreen and I'm wearing sunglasses. I think it's more about the meditative value of this experience. I try to balance the Vitamin D benefits of sunshine and the detrimental exposure (skin cancer) of the sun. After all, isn't that what life is all about? BALANCE

I like walking barefoot in the house or on a sandy beach but there aren't many nice earthy places to walk that don't have things to hurt the feet.
