snowview, it's amazing how some people allow susrstitions to control their
lives - ie. not going out of the house on Fri. 13th...or thinking all black cats are "devil" cats...it makes one wonder sometimes.....("This is the day that the Lord hath made" included Friday 13ths!....:)

I have a few friends who wont even go out the house on fri 13th
I try not to worry too much about it...but if something did happen that day I so know I would blame the date.

I am not bothered by Friday the 13th, it is just another day for me! I like that you tossed in the day the Lord has given us, so we should enjoy it to the maximum! Shelly

I never drive at night on a Friday the 13th.  It’s just something that popped up anumber of years ago and I’ve stuck with it.

Very interesting.  I've known a lot of superstitious people, but I never feel that Friday 13 is any different than any other day.  Also, I don't worry about my cat being black--except when I walk into a dark room and can't see her and step on her and she yowls so loud that the shock takes away a years growth from my hair.

I agree. When superstition enters, the mind becomes numb.

just when i decided that i was gonna have a great day today, 13th or not, i landed my hand on a hot iron- don't even ask me where that came from!!! the best the shopkeeper could do was hurry in a loaf of icecream to keep the blister down (god bless him and his quick thinking) and Metal, are you listenning? a crow shat on me after that . this time was not fun!!!

Some people here are a bit nervous about Friday 13th! It was interesting to read about the origins of this superstition. I'm enjoying 'scenes from a writer's life' by Ruskin Bond, thank you for telling us about him. have a wonderful day.
