Here's hoping that you'll forgive me as a foreigner butting in and leaving a comment. In the present catastrophic situation that the whole world finds itself in it would seem to me that the most sensible policy would be for citizens in all countries to back up our leaders and give them the encouragement to get on with the job in the best way they can.
