Amazing those who want to separate church and state want the state to take over the church. I am not always the sharpest knife in the drawer but is that possibly what is known as hypocritical?

I am Baptist and no I am not a Catholic but that does not matter. What matters is this is government taking away freedoms, freedom of religion and you must understand that because you were the one always crying about how Bush took away freedoms with the Patriot Act which was not true. The government was never meant to regulate religion in any way. Why have the freedom of religion as long as it is regulated by the government???You always thought that Republicans took rights away from the people but it was the exact opposite. Now, you look and you will see the stolen freedoms from the people across the board by this worthless Obama administration.

you don't know how the Catholic Church works

parishes are not independent bodies.  they are founded and dissolved at the whim of the bishop or archbishop.

dioceses and archdioceses control their money -- funneling it away from the parish to the struggling financial situation of the larger entity.

you remember that that is an iron hierarchy, with iron clad rules

these men act  like despotic rulers a lot of times
