Bhaskar.ing - I don't know if there is an atheist alive that arrived at

their perspective without at least some questioning.

Though I do agree that the certainty of theist beliefs can be compared with the certainty of atheist beliefs. I also agree somewhat on the notion of a unifying force or "energy" amongst all living things, the Kirlean effect for example, tells us that all living things have an aura, while dead things do not. But I cannot come as far as believing that anything "governs good or bad happening on earth" . . . a completely neutral life force without consciousness and subsequently without intent, I can buy.

These are questions that should exercise man's mind. That they don't, they remain theists. Atheists too don't question, so they remain atheists. Agnostics say, "I don't know either way, whether god is or is not, but I'll find out". For such the journey can begin. To my way of thinking, it is not god who created man in his image; it is man who created god in his image. If horses were to have their own god, it would be in horses' image, and man would be the devil, so much cruelty to animals man inflict. Supposing we also do not acknowledge that a great white-bearded man is sitting high up there and managing the affairs of man, becuse then all kinds of complaints start ... He does this, and He does not do that. If, on the other hand, we were to replace the idea to Energy that governs good or bad happening on earth and mankind, then we cannot complain. How can you, with Energy? To me, therefore, God and Energy are synonymous.

Since you asked.. yes I have asked myself those things

One continuous language we can all attune ourselves to.. no mater our position on the orb.. the land, the sea, the air. Nature is the best teacher. "Consider the lily" The lessons learned there are endless and available to any and all who would have eyes to see.

Instruction from God at time when all of the worlds people could read.. it takes no skill to observe the tree provide cover to all without regard to race or creed. A child who doesn't know his alphabet can observe the river pursue with diligence the course set before it.

The "why" of things changes with the wind.

I agree that God does not "screw up".... we do.

Peace, OTA
