Dear Norwood, you and Nir are facing big challenges. My ex-husband was born in India and as such our daughter has both Jewish and Hindu roots. She has chosen to cultivate a Jewish way of life and give her own children a more informed Jewish upbringing than either I or she received.
I think there must be many families that face these challenges. Handled wisely I think that these children can grow up to be competent world citizens with insight and respect for other cultures.
You are not alone.

It sounds like Nir has a lot to deal with. I hope that he is strong and courageous, and has lots of stamina as well as his great love for you.
