Oops Wiley..I meant my bottle is stainless steel!
Like everything else, some things get taken too far one way but I think getting back to being less wasteful is always a good thing...we consume more than we need...take too much from Mother earth. The old ways are often the good ways!

I try to use a balance of environment concious and sensible living. I think
Wiley and I do a decent job of balancing. I 'm not one who believes that a bit of smoke on the odd day from the drum is going to ruin Canada's enviro.

But I fill it at home so use fewer bottles. My husband must go to Tims once daily-- and he likes me to go along. Oh-- what a tough life!
Thanks for checking my stuff!

Well I recycle all the cans and plastic and glass, but I burn all the paper in my 45gal drum.
I am not a great believer in the idea that man can change climate warming at all or that he is totally responsible for it. A lot of Catholic's had a hand in that guilt stuff.LOL
I think Al Gore is just another half wit that needs that fame even if it means going off half cocked. And a lot of American's would like to be able to get their hands on Canada's oil from the oil sands at the cheapest possible price. So all this environmental crap has many people building it up to a financial windfall since everything else is screwed up.
Now, I do trust and pray you won't get aluminium poisoning or early onset alzheimers from using an aluminum can luv............

Seriously Naut?
That's a sad story...it's like running out of corn from its ethanol use and soon bamboo won't grow fast enough to keep up with the demand. Why can't we ever get balance! Hmmm...sponge on a stick....Sounds like a lot of cleanup to me! Ick!

Sometimes it's seems obscene...the amount of recycle stuff we have each week but better than in the dump!

Like you, we recycle. Now another problem has arisen: there's too much recycled stuff around, and there aren't enough storage facilities. Because of the downturn in the economy, the 'waste' goes to waste...
Corbin had a post on toilet paper as well. I suggested the old Roman method of a sponge on a stick, called the xylospongium...However, I shall stick with Charmin...

I still drive my pre-millenium truck
because I like being a bit taller on the road, able to see farther ahead. Particularly when traveling on road trips, I want something big enough to camp in. Though it is fun to drive small sometimes, scooting along, going twice as far or more on a gallon of gas... I drive less than I used to, but still, I drive.
