I went to dinner a few weeks ago with my friend and we had good food and service and she tells me she doesnt tip, so I was the one that left the tip

Shelly, it depends on the quality of service...

...and the attitude of the server, which leaves Denny's out of the picture! lol

I agree. I know times are tight, but I feel that if a person cannot afford to leave a good tip that they should not go in the first place.

Good service makes good food better!

I make a point to let our server know that they have treated us well and I write it by the way of a tip on the final bill.  Good thought!
