physical violence. Public schools certainly need to return the power and control to the administration/teachers (yet another reason we homeschool), but corporal punishment isn't the answer. I agree with a previous comment that hitting children teaches children to settle a problem with violence. I would not stand for anyone in a school spanking my child; the school would be dealing with an attorney in short order.

We give it an awful name, corporal punishment, sounds like murder. It is nothing more than discipline. Let's face it, things like "time out" are a joke.
