I like your transistor radio plan. Sounds good to me.

Re: Re: NWMWG
That it is. It makes a 90 minute movie go on for 180 minutes!!

Re: NWMWG
But if TBS is televising a movie you haven't seen yet...it may not be worth seeing anyway. It's hard to believe they could find sponsers for this stuff to run five minutes in commercials, isn't it??

I too remember when there were only a few channels. Sometimes TBS will show a movie that I have not seen for some time. I tune in, sit back and watch 5 minutes of the show, followed by 5 minutes of commercials (I timed them). Thank goodness for the ability to pause live TV, that way I can fast forward through them.
It still boils down to 200 channels of sh*t to choose from and nothing to watch.

Re: thanks sam
it is tough to swallow when you realize you are paying for 2 or 300 channels of what amounts to static

Re: Dear Gold Dust
Does that mean if I stop watching TV I might actually get a life...the thought had never occured to me. Seriously, it goes back to the way I was raised, I guess. The television was just always on.

Saturdays on the Sci Fi Channel are as you describe, but the other nights
are not.
Battlestar Gallactica and
Eureka both have some original stuff in them, then there are the middle-of-the-night gems on Ovation, and Bravo. Come on! Dig a little more!

I don't have a TV in my appartment already for more than 6 years... Do I miss it? NO... I'm not against it, it's not like I couldn't watch it, but there just are so many other more exciting things...

I'm lucky if I watch......
10% of the channels I have......but with packaging you sometime have no choice to get a specific channel you want.....I favor being able to pick what channels I want......personalized programing!

Re: I'm with ya. We have basic cable, so we have a lot of channels,
Whatever you do, don't even think about trying the Game Show Network or Sci-Fi. It will be time you can never get back!!

Re: I don't blame you..
for reading, as opposed to watching the garbage on TV now. I should read more, in addition to the blogs I read.

I'm with ya. We have basic cable, so we have a lot of channels,
but not as many as satellite, ans I'll be damned if I can find anything to watch most of the time...gawd.
