Re:
I've seen some of Lost, but only the first season or so. Got off track, and haven't got back to it yet. I don't know Entourage. I am liking Buffy, though.

I accept that. But my general outlook on life is still skeptical of extraordinary claims.

Yes, I've found the same thing. I've seen through season 4 now, and I like the development of a specific theme through the season. And on the whole, it's fun.

Hmmm. I have teenage boys who got me hooked on Entourage and Lost - but not Buffy. Interesting. I might have to take a look. Mal

Initially I ignored the series, but once Queen V became an avid viewer, I had no choice but to take a closer look. I'm glad I did. The series is episodic, but not in the never-ending storylines of soap operas, but like a comic book, where each "issue" is self contained, but the subplots continue. As the series progressed, each season was one long story arc. Also it wasn't always light-hearted. A couple seasons towards the end of the run were downright depressing. If you really want to get the most out of the series, you shouldn't watch episodes at random. Rent an entire season and view each as a chapter of a larger work. What's simply good becomes brilliant. The whole is much better than the sum of its parts.
