I'm a bit late here, but I'm just going on the record, also, to clap my hands together in celebration of your continued recovery.

Glad you are rebounding enough to slap the keyboard around a bit!
Once had the First Responders at our house... I thought at the time, the part of me that wasn't all about being ill, that it was like a bunch of super-cheery leprecauns speaking a magical language about 'sinkable episodes' and other odd bits I don't recall-- the folks who show up before the official emergency response team arrives with sirens and lights. All volunteers, quite a mixed bag of strangers, but all cheery as can be! They come in and assess matters, and as in that case, fend off the professional alarrums as not actually needed.

The night truly does have a thousand eyes and I was laughing at your expense when you related your ambulance story as I know of what you speak (having had the emergency response team pull up to my door on a couple of occasions). Yes.. there’s nothing discrete about their arrival. Glad to hear you’re on the mend, Naut.

HAHAHAHA! Nautikos I'm not laughing at your misery--only at your witty writing. Can't help it, I've seen so many of those big-booted fellows in their uniforms and with their stretchers and the lights that flash forever. Glad you are enough better that you could let us know you are still among the living.

We can wait, Naut... just take it easy. Most ordinary illnesses don't require hospitalization so don't feel embarassed:)

A good clean out is a good idea occassionally but not this way
and I guess you got pretty dehydrated. So sorry luv and get well soon. In the mean time the long suffering Wife can cope I'm sure.
I'd send you a whiskey but it would do more harm than good. Take care of you
