Hmmmm...I'm a Norman Rockwell fan - one of the earliest artists I became aware of as a kid. I'm trying to imagine him painting that scene...That's kind of fun actually, though he probably would have omitted the cigarettes.

Great visuals, Betsy, I feel as though I am in that car and part of it all. And maybe not running, but limping barefoot to that shore. Thanks for a lovely poem!
