Actually...
...that looks like foil tape...made of aluminum foil with a sticky adhesive on the back, and is used for many things, including heating and air conditioning ducts, etc.
Thank goodness, that's obviously not a commercial jet(absence of the huge turbine in the back).

Scary, eh? I went to visit a friend in Dallas a long time ago. He was a pilot (small planes) and we were going up in a rental. I had never been up in one before (single prop). I stood next to the wing and he said, "it's built great. Really strong." I squeezed the wing and it sort of crackled. He couldn't believe it.
We went up in that plane for the rest of the day and had a great time. But I learned that it seems planes are pretty fragile. Thanks for the pic.
