Not quite. But a God that does nothing may as well not be. Free will is a difficult enough concept just in connection with physics, without imposing the supernatural.

I came to the conclusion that if there is in fact a God, He/She/It is somewhere in the heavens looking down (both literally and figuratively) on this little planet teeming with these insignificant mortals with the immense egos and illusions of grandeur, laughing His/Her/Its ass off.

Not all religious devotees would be in the position of believing that
God favours one team over another, in baseball, politics, or war. Some of us believe in God without believing that God reaches down from the heavens to put right anything which goes wrong in this world (which clearly doesn't happen!) Free will seems pretty important, even when we humans use it to do awful things. Nothing and nobody stops us - we are of age and make our own decisions for good or ill - but that doesn't mean there is no God, does it?
