My friends and I used to hang out in the woods all the time...
...and would occasionally come upon someone's fort or makeshift hang-out, but, never someones cache. Never thought of it!

I, on the other hand, had never heard of this... is it like a scavenger's hunt of sorts? It seems you had fun doing it and that is what counts isn't it :-) I like to go off the marked trails once in a while, Lately though, there had been so many bear sightings already around the place upstate NY where the woods I love are, that I have been content with sticking to the cabin on the two occasions I could go. Bears are very cranky when they wake up early... and it is too early :-) But this finding things in the woods for fun I never heard of...hmmmm... I got to look into it :-) It is kind of sad , isn't it, that instead of finding rare birds or unheard off plants in the hidden trails, we can find evidence of man's trespassing... I think there are too many of us loll
