Kellogs owes Phelps nothing.  Maybe, just maybe, they are just trying to send the message to "Do the right thing."  What's wrong with that?  Phelps brought this on himself.  Period.

Re: STOP IT!

Mr Growler,

You do make some great points.  But just what is Kelloggs gaining from this. Are they going to put Ma and Pa Kettle with a pitch fork back on the Corn Flakes Box.?  Are they going to lose any sales by just leaving things as they are?  Isn't it okay for our heroes to be human and make mistakes, or do we have to crucify our heroes every time they so much as jaywalk?   Just consider that

STOP IT!

If you don't want to do the time, then don't do the crime.  I had more drugs and alcohol thrown in my face at age 13 than Phelps has had in his lifetime and I've never done a one.  I went to college in the eighties when cocaine and grass was readily available.  There were dealers who used it to pay for their educations.   And I went to a school that was considered to have many well-to-do students.  And it wasn't in the ghetto.

I don't really care what Phelps does in his spare time(and he should have done this in a dark room) as long as he doesn't hurt anyone.  But enough of this "doing him wrong".  He brought it on himself.  Most excuse makers do.

I totally agree! He is still very young and I am upset with the British Tabloid for the breaking of this story as well. He represented our country with great class and for people to bail on him now is just horrible! sam
