Hallo Sam,
Am I right in thinking that numerology is one aspect of Cabbala? It is an interesting topic; an orthodox Jewish friend told me once that Cabbala is a subject restricted to men over the age of 40. When I asked her why, she said that it was considered potentially harmful to younger people. However I understand that quite a few people dabble in the study irrespective of age or belief.
