Sam, you're a wizard with words and thoughts! I need to read this again a couple of times, slowly! Have a great day! Hope you're fine now. God bless. Nita.

Well stated
I believe that everything in life has a point, a lesson that should be learned.  Far too often, we overlook the lesson and dwell on the event.

a resolution
replaces darkness and the light has a delicate glow.

This is the part that speaks to me most. Onward, upward, positive--

Thanks for your comment

Had to read it more then once...slowly. The inward reaches out, and there is light... your words... I saw,"glowing". That stood out. Oh yes, and I did have to look up a few words. The title stood out for me too, "About Staying". Okay I've said enough...I love this poem.

There is an air of finality in this magnificent poem that impresses me. You move from one emotion to another with poise and elegance. I am inspired reading this!

Oh, sam, MEDEAR, I'm lost in thoughts here... So many angles to take, so many roads to follow...What's the beginning? What's the end? What's the goal? I will have to return a few times to disentangled myself through all these thoughts.

"What does not kill me...
...only makes me stronger." I like the way you expanded on that theme...intentionally, or not.

'Acquiescence was the answer to despair, desperation
and disunity.'

I particularly liked that line Sam; it is a wise strategy in life. Best wishes for a pleasant and peaceful day.
