Alzheimer's is a terrible affliction but your writing is terrific. Now that it's clear of all those extra letters it's sure easier to read luv. Love to you both from Wiley and Kabu

Oh boy! This is gripping and sad! I have experienced Alzheimer's close at hand, and this brought back memories...

this really took a different twist tonight and on a road I know so well
because my own darling Mom went this way. She made life so tough for Dad, he died before she did and then I had to find a way to forgive her.

I'm left wondering, did Daddy divorce Mama?
Did people understand Alzheimer's then? Today it's so well known. The time frame seems a bit vague to me, so I'm not sure just when this time is, but is Alzheimer's known? Did Daddy come to understand and to reconcile before she died? Did Jess reconnect in any way with her mother to mend the rift before it was too late? Inquiring minds want to know. And the looming issue of alcoholism: is Jess on the brink? Is she going to realize it? You have left readers wanting more! Good job.

Justi, I don't know whether you ever get back to "The Mud Factory" or not in this book, but I for one am very interested in it. If you don't intend to put more of it in this story, could you maybe write in one of your other blogs a bit about the history of the mud factory, what they did there, how you happened to know about it when no one else knew where it was and such like that?
