Very clever!
I think you have some of the smartest poetry around, loved the image of the glove becoming an asp when not worn (I know people similar...)

A very clever piece Shelly
beautifully written as always but I beg to differ - silk gloves are always in vogue; just look how many situations we need to handle wearing them

Many blessings and thanks my friend always

Superb, and so lyrical. The asp that killed Cleopatra takes a sudden turn for a most beautiful poetic ending. You are so gifted sis Shelly. Your bro simply adores you
.
Regarding the poem The Renaissance, by Edna St. Vincent Millay, I will certainly do my best to do justice, and I am delighted that you think my worth as an interpretor. I was just too tied up with work the last few days and contributed just two pieces in the last six days - one, with my job as BSP for AIG, and another, the teaching assignments with my students who come for help for English literature, and yet another, sending my manuscripts to a publisher at Calcutta, who has already given the green signal to publish four of my books by the first week of April this year.

The feel of silk is so wonderful, but.....wow in your poem this comparing of silk gloves to a person is very cool.... and cold.
Love it.

silk glove -hmm, for a second there I thought you were going poetic on
Michael Jackson.

..j/k..

..it is humorous, but there's a bite there, too, no question..
