Comments on Direction of the GOP

It looks like...
You have done a lot of research, not just blasting away, as some do, to back up your writing.  I noticed that not once did you resort to name calling or derision.  As for the Republicans, my feeling is dragging Newt Gingrich back into the fray will do nothing to win new voters.  I think they think Palin will be some kind of magic magnet but I feel it is clear the country likes more centrist candidates, or at least those who appear to be centrist.  One more factor, there are four long years and a lot can happen to change the political complexion.  The economy, national security and the exit from Iraq will all prove key.  In the meantime we all need to keep an eye on the doings of government becasue Democrat or Replublican, they are all politicians and I don't truly trust any of them.

So you are gloating that the dems.....
some who cannot write more than their on name [ X ] voted a man in as president ONLY because he is black?  I am ashamed to say that he is only 1/2 black. He had a white mammie. This dude lies out both sides of his mouth. But because he is black & demoRAT, no one challenges him on campaign promises. My old mammie use to say promises are like a pie shell, easy made and easy broke. The O is proving her right!

Re:
I am a Democrat. I consider myself a moderate. But I base my opinions on the facts as I see them, not just because I am a Democrat. Hope this helps.

One needs to know what you consider yourself to be, in order to ascertain where you are coming from.   The Republican party tried to be more Democrat-like which was a mistake....blacks voted for the Dems......What a Shock!   As to the youth vote, they did not turn out in near the numbers expected........

We had 400,000 fewer Republicans go to the polls in the state of Ohio alone....the base was turned off by the RINO that slipped in under the primary wire......he only received 45% of the total GOP votes....and the National GOP under the direction of my college chum, Mike Duncan, foolishly encouraged opening up several primaries to all registered voters.....which gave McNothing a couple of wins based on non-Republican votes.   Our party needs to return to its roots and re-energize the base.......McNothing need to retire to taking care of the Budweiser horses, maybe make a commercial or two,  since he's been a lapdog for the Dems in the Senate, perhaps he could play the dalmation......

I will be taking an active role in working on accomplishing the rebirth of my party....

just curious, what party is yours?  It kind of helps to know where all this enlightening advice is coming from.......
