What a way with words......I'm always amazed. No man around, but hey, sounds like she had no choice. Powerful poem and very sad.

To ignore fate and rise above the temptations it presents can be a momentous decision and cathartic in nature. Then regard fate a the bastarard child of hunger NB gallery slave.

Shelly
An amazing poem, a tour de force that succeeds beautifully! And for some reason, which is slightly, though not entirely, mysterious to me, but one which would be far too lengthy to explore here, it reminds me of Petronius' Satyricon, of which, incidentally, a marvellous movie was made years ago. But you should read the book first...

Wow, that was something! It made me realize that I had always regarded Fate as being female with all the attributes of feminity.  It's quite interesting because Fate can be either Destin (male) or Destinée (FEMALE) in French and for some unknown reason to me I associate it with Destinée. So, it was a chock to realize that Fate can be a bastard at time! But then again, a female can also be a bastard....
