Kabu, you would think that after milennia this Earthly population would be more intelligent, by living more usefully, peacefully, exercising more patience and compromise and sharing more, but no.

I understand, Kabu, I used to have 85 pair at one point and I wouldn't have been able to decide which one to check, could not, truly, I'd have to chuck the pair to not feel so much pain later.

Can't someone there, in the land down under,  mail you a shoe box??

darling I would never chuck my shoe. I am a shoeaholic. LOL

My constant need is to go buy another pair. It's the only aspect of Canadian winter that I don't enjoy. Big clumpy heavy safe boots.It's my need to go back to Australia. To bring back some gorgious shoes I had to leave behind.

Wonderful azur, kind of like editormum's seeds, huh?? Love creative ideas, if I ever have any ;-)

I can't help but pay attention to the world as North Korea shakes spears at the South this week, as Mugabe hangs on and Togo's elections approach, my friends from there and everyone who can vacationing suddenly in Ghana at about election time.

 

This is just in case it all falls apart as I understand one of the dead dictator's sons, one of his many many many other sons wants to be the new President and the one who stole the throne after Daddy died doesn't want to let go. Gonna get messy.

 

Like Iraq after we pull out. Americans  forget we made Saddam and allowed him to seize the country and gave him supplies and encouragement. We have made this latest leader and God, Allah or Mars knows how that will turn out down the road.

We forget that we made the Taliban! Dumb forgetful Americans, us.

We make all rebels 'ours' if we don't like the regime and then are sorry later as we must then dance with our devil.
