He never said he would change things for the better. That's what politics is about. Instead he harped on change we can believe in! I can believe many face the poorhouse now!

he/she doesn't see things clearly.
I liked the closing prayer-- it was almost the highlight of the event --
and the Middle East -- Herr Bush did more to help the situation deteriorate than he did to help solve it.
First, by invading Iraq (oil wasn't the only reason; Israel was also a part of the equation) -- then by declaring Iran part of the axis of evil and singling it out for its hostility toward Israel (remember that Egypt, Jordan and Syria actually attacked Israel three or four times so using the reasoning that Iran wants Israel off the face of the map -- singling them out -- that rings hollow) Bush's religious views must have played a part -- believing that Israel must build a temple in order for the Beast to sit in it in order for Christ to retuan -- when we total it up, he was discounting the Arab World. He didn't take a single step to make peace there.
Peace will be reached by addressing the issues raised by all sides -- not being biased toward one or the other.
