There is no pay high enough for what soldiers do for their people and nation. We underpay them to the point of shaming ourselves.
We live our worried little lives safe in our neighborhoods in our quiet hometowns, predictably expecting peace there and we forget to remember, never ' remember to remember ' the lives of our endangered and wounded and struggling soldiers and their little families.

I am about to pull out a small box of Valentines
and get busy communicating with some of them.
