A bit sexist of you Malcom
are you sure you are not into the first history teacher because she is cute and bubbly. Let's hope her lessons are good too. The other History teacher may have just had a bad day. Who knows what is going on in her/his life. Some of the best teachers I have had have been aloof and hard taskmasters.
I know some of the worst teachers I had at school were chummy and just not with it as far as the material for the courses were concerned. They may have been nice people but they skimmed the surface and relied on social skills to get by and networking for promotions.
My best teacher was never very friendly. She was polite but she didn't gush over you or parents. We learnt a lot from her.

As things get more distant
I am more vividly reminded of them, then I feel a little confused they were so long ago... funny how the mind works isn't it?

My heart goes out to you and Ivan. My younger son is a musician,
very successful in Sydney and works with some fabulous people but I remember those musical school years and I was his roady and his biggest fan. His encouragement and cheer squad. It was hard work at times and not always easy to keep him drug free back then but it was always a lot of fun and I became "Sydney Mum' to some very special musicians. Enjoy every day of him and his talent.

How very cool for Ivan! I wish all the best in his musical endeavor! I would like to work with someone who was affiliated with Led Zeppelin too! It is so wonderful to watch children have their dream come to fruition! You are such a wonderful parent too! sam
