Well luv I understand your emotions over this, however in the fullness of time you will understand differently, age does that to us. Fact is, the poor chap was an escapee of a lunatic asylum as I understand it.

Shelley, I do not hate you for your post.....
I understand your angry feelings on a swift disposition of this horrindous crime. My wife is a director of a day care of 120 kids, and 3 of our grandsons are there at some day of the day. It would be a bitter pill to swallow if anything like that happen at this day care especially if one of my grandsons was a victim. However, as badly as we would like to dispose of this lunatick there is due process and he will be tried, a verdict rendered and a sentence imposed. It can be long and drawn out, but at some point this criminal act will have to be paid for. The sad thing is even if his life is over the parents and other relatives will have to deal with it for the rest of their lives and the survivors may never fully recover. Forgiveness seems like a sign of weakness but unless those involved in this travesty are able at some point to forgive this man will hold them hostage for the rest of their lives. Mind you, I am speaking as a non-victim so I can not possibly know how these parents and kids feel. But very honestly, I do not want to know. Know what I mean? In order to know what these involved feel, it would have to happen to my chidren or grandchildren and so the cost of knowing is too great. I can only imagine the pain and anguish they are feeling for this great injustice. May God have mercy on his soul.
Shelley, your honesty and transparency is not a valid reason to hate you. We are flesh and blood and we have feelings and they are not always kissy-kissy. Anger is an emotion that one cannot help but feel when something of this nature occurs. Let's pray for the families that have been devastated by this incident. God bless you for caring!

I don't hate you for this
but its time we abandoned the old eye for an eye punishment. We can argue forever on this, but I believe all killing is wrong. two wrongs never make a right.

Horrible story...
...but I'm afraid that killing those who kill has never been proven to
be a deterent to these crimes. It's certainly a tremendous
tragedy.

That’s absolutely horrific! What would make someone do such a disgusting thing??? But I’m with you….there is no room for forgiveness or redemption for this kind of act.
