Know this:
I will rather you live in my heart,
Then to die to others,
In vain.

At first impression this poem’s awesome. As you read into it it’s beautiful as well. BCA, Bill*s Cae

Excellent write! It sends an image of the described author's note. True love in life's lessons is most essential to become the one we are meant to be.No is a loving answer from a parent or teacher to protect the child.

I think the poem explores the dynamics of most relationships – be it master/student or even lover to lover – very powerfully.  We have something to learn from just about anyone….

Zuraffo, I actually did get from the poem what you were intending... 'the teacher/lesson'  stanza was helpful. There definitely is a back-and-forth pull between being the best, as well as being overcome. Thanks for your philosophy!
