I'm so glad you are writing again.  This is sad, but it is so well written and it is something everyone needs to read.

Re: I really love your blog!
Bless you, Bruce!  There's another one of us - at last!  I had my surgery at age 46, too.  I turn 56 next month.  I feel the DBS gave me a second chance at quality life.  It doesn't help my soft voice -- I never saw this part coming and it's been the bitterest of all pills for me to swallow.  I was so hyped up by yesterday that I was up till 4:00, barely able to stand. Even my whisper is inaudible today. My husband left after lunch, worried that I wouldn't nap.  I haven't.  I want to squeeze as much into one day as I can.  I went around the house unplugging all the red blinking lights, to "do my share" of saving electricity.  I'm not sure what else to do - we're the kind of people who get volunteered TO!!  My balance is getting more tenuous, too.  But 10 years post dBs I'm doing remarkably well. As you read my symptoms started at age 30. Thanks again!

I really love your blog!
I am a young onset PWP and I really enjoy what you have to say. I underwent DBS a year ago. Was diagnosed at 38, had the surgery at 46. Anyway, it is always nice to know someone else who is in the same situaton, so I don't feel so alone. Thanks. Bruce Potts.
