BetsyLewis, seeing how the President and the new First Lady looked so lovingly at each other, I'm sure there might be a few new poems on love, love, love also.

Great question Taps, captured wonderfully in your poem.And thanks for sharing this Unique poem by Elizabeth Alexander also. Her poem at the inauguration was very moving. And so true, poetry is every where we look, and live and in every moment of simple existence.

I wish I could write poetry but it just is not in my genes.  I bought a new pair of jeans hoping that it would help but nope...no poem I could pen.  I guess I'll have to leave to those such as you who has the knack for writing, and rhyming and making it all flow into poetry. You are good at it, and me, I just write and sometimes readers like it and sometimes they don't. Keep on writing!
