Boytoy is a gross perversion for the word Eromenos!
The literal translation for Eromenos is "Beloved". In ancient greeks, Adult men (18 ~ 24) usually take on a younger boy (12 ~ 17) as a lover, in which the boy will learn the art of "manhood" from the older lover. The bond sometimes last a lifetime. It is not a master / slave kind of relationship but a teacher / student kind of relationship. When the Eromenii become adult, they usually take their own Eromenos and that was how the tradition is passed down. You can read more about this custom from wikipedia.

When I vacationed in Greece years ago, I visited a museum in which there was some pottery that depicted a man adoringly looking at young boy and our guide said something about Eromeno, which in ancient greece , as he explained to us, meant boytoy... a young man wanted sexually by an , ussually older man.... Don't ask me how I remembered that but that knowledge helped me greatly in understanding your verses. Your poem is beautiful... if unusual... very clasical in shape and content.
