I hate the feeling of hand sanitizer too. Like you too I also want to wash my hands after using the restroom.

shelly_b, in myline of work, I wash my hands likely an average of ten
times a day, give or take if someone is ill (working with the physically and mentally disabled)...it's second nature to me to wash up with soap and hot water (how some people can NOT do it boggles my mind!)..

If I was the manager of that resto, I'd have sent someone out for bottled water, at least for coffee. It seems to me that would be better service than just telling people it's juice, soft drinks, or liquor. Sorry - the hands would still have to use the icky gel.

I agree with the other comments: how can they stay open without drinkable water? I had a pastry shop and had to close when the pipes from the well were frozen and I couldn't get water.

boil out sounds illegal to me, what is that all about? They could scoop up some snow and boil it

I didn't think shelly..
...that places could stay open without hot water...hygiene concerns and all. And I hate the feel of that hand sanitizer but in a pinch I'll use it.
