Re: Strongly conveyed message, Dave..Thank you...
Thanks PoetRaye! I think you made your point quite well. These Politicians talk too much and say the truth hoping people will forget! I saw a collection of 'hate speech' on www.whatreallyhappened.com. They actually tell you their plans. It is sad that people lack critical thinking and do not know how to go behind the webs of illusion spun by mainstream. I already read the linked article. Thanks again!

Re: wigopa
The mainstream media is painting Obama as a SAVIOUR! Now why would they do such a thing? We will see, shortly!

Re: Liana
You do present your arguments very truthfully. If you read my earlier posts, you would have seen that I dispensed with the I-am-this-body doctrine. In fact, there is soul and dark side in the body. The soul owns the body but the dark side insists that ...it's yours if you can control it. Then it sets about to suppress the soul and usurp the rulership of the body. The bible doesn't discuss this reality though it contains food for the soul and techniques for cutting down the dark side. You must remember that the bible was written on the initiative of Constantine, centuries after Christ. In every grouping there must be some good men, so we have some legitimate teachings in the bible. If the law is as you sow you reap...from where does the concept of Forgiveness arise? It is simple ...you sin you pay! But Forgiveness benefits the dark side because it commits crimes and gets away. God can forgive, not us, because he has the power to unwrite karma. So let the dark side Go to the HIGHEST God and plead. The God of the Dark side is not the God of the Soul...the dark side and soul are entirely different species of substances. Just as God divided himself and his 'sparks' are souls, the devil has done the same. The 'sparks' of each kind remain loyal to their respective motherships.

Darkside people are different fron soul people. Using judgement is important in living. You see people killing, lying, stealing...and using force to compromise free will, and you judge that that is wrong. The courts judge crimes. Do not judge provides a good alibi for the dark side to sin and keep sinning. I will be judged, that is certain! So why should I want to avoid that by not judging? I will be judged anyway. We judge that Christ was a good man and we learn from him. We judge that the devil is nasty and avoid being like him. You see the Presbyters who wrote the bible wrote teachings for the benefit of their own kind. So when dark side people come with their cunning, I rebuke them. They are not soul and are not going to get far with their evil tricks!

Your comment is so long I will stop here! Your contemplation is deep and if you do research you may well find the answers you seek.

Best of luck!

Re: builder ..thank for you kind words on that ugly blog where that lady spoke
Thanks Drohan254. I hope your computer is fixed soon. I know the persecution you have faced has affected  you. I see it in the way you write and the words and phrases you choose to describe this reality. I have been there! My best advice is to TAKE CARE OF YOU. My friend SINOME tells me that, and it is perfectly good advice. Take your vitamins ecpecially Vitamin B Complex!

Re: praying for the peace
Thanks 9star! The only PEACE the Palestinians will have is if they are allowed to leave and go into a country that will absorb them. That is the only peace I see them getting!

Strongly conveyed message, Dave..Thank you...

I think the will within, when flowing from a higher source we are all endowed with, but not unveiled by many, is the light necessary to guide us through the darkness, the valley of death included..I fear becoming one of 'them'..the Haters and Destroyers - greatly more than I do leaving this plane..so therefore, I will not bear arms..there are stronger arms waiting.

I've been trying to educate myself (away from msm, which is so obviously and blatantly biased) about the heartbreaking events in Gaza and the history of the conflict - genocide in full, open throttle, I believe and so little condemnation of the Israelis; compared to the war crimes and atrocities they are committing..I am deeply disappointed with President-Elect Obama's reaction thus far, but I guess it's on par with the American-Israel lobbying structure..I had hoped Mr. Obama would have a balanced and humane attitude toward the Palestinian people (as part of the real change he promised!) and their long running suffering and degradation.

Here are some things (surprising to me) I have learned (hope you don't mind me sharing them here; maybe you are already aware of them)

-How Israel brought Gaza to the brink of humanitarian catastrophe-
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/jan/07/gaza-israel-palestine

“We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation, and the cutting of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population.”
David Ben-Gurion quotes (Polish born Israeli Statesman and Prime Minister (1948-53, 1955-63). Chief architect of the state of Israel and revered as Father of the Nation, 1886-1973)

"If I were an Arab leader, I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal; we have taken their country. It is true God promised it to us, but how could that interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti - Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault ? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?”

Hello to everyone reading these posts,

I’m not a blogit writer, only an occasional reader, and lionreign lets me use his account for that. I got here accidentally [or not], and I want to express my opinion on a couple of matters. I’m not doing this to change the minds of any of you, it’s only something I need to do to stay true to myself and my faith.

I am a Christian, an Orthodox one, I live in the Eastern part of the Europe. My religion is usually considered very traditional and dogmatic. It also covers about 70-80 percent of the population. I was lucky to meet on my Christian path some people with open minds and hearts: priests, monks, fellows Christians, fellows belonging to other religions and atheists as well. I had my moments of disbelief and I had my moments of grace.

The debate here about who is and who is not a true Christian became quite un-Christian. Especially as nobody stated what a true Christian means: one who talks about the teachings, one who puts them into practice, one who believes God will make things right punishing the bad people, one who prays for a part of the other of this conflict or one who prays for peace? I’ve read here remarks about violence and also about love and understanding. I’ll just quote one of SB’s post:

“God is God of ALL. No matter where you are born or the color of your skin or your funny speech, God loves you still. NO-ONE is going to tell me to hate moslem people or Jewish people. There is good and evil in each. I always give more links by Jewish people because they are closer and so know best the problems in the middle-east. They are my brothers and sisters as much as the Rastafarians or the Jehovah Witnesses. I love my neighbor as my self but dark side people only get my fight and rebuke! Christ did the same! Don't worry, the Israelis and their friends will pay for this massacre. God is not dead, HE is great!”

I agree with the first sentence. The thing is if you truly believe that, you should admit that God exists also for the darksiders and not as punisher. Christ was a Messiah because he brought a New Law, preaching about a God of Love, and not of punishment. He said more than love your neighbour, he also said "But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also.”

Many things in the Bible are interpretable, and people usually quote them according to their interest at the time. I’ve been in several debates regarding the teachings of Christ, with Christians and non-Christians also. I’ve been in many other debates with myself, as I believe that whoever just blindly follows nowadays religious systems risks being manipulated and disappointed at some point.

One atheist friend of mine said that if it’s true that God exists, and that He rules everything, how comes there’s so much pain, suffering and violence in this world? He could either think that God is actually not almighty, or that He just doesn’t care.

Is not God great enough to squash the darksiders? Or He only proves his power at certain moments, after a degree of suffering has been reached, and after that some tornado comes and takes away only the bad guys? Or is He busy in another place of this huge universe? Or the Devil claimed the Earth for itself, signing a treatise with God?

I find this kind of alternatives very limiting. My present belief [from what I know and experienced] is that you can’t fight the devil with guns, or any other means he became master of. If there will be a global attempt of the New World Order to violently take over the world, how will you stay against it? Praying for God to strike the bad ones? Getting a gun and fighting for yourself?

I think that all big wars are nurtured from our little wars, with ourselves and those surrounding us. I believe that love and compassion is the only efficient way to help out humanity. I’m not talking about the pinkish view that has been thrown over these words. Because it really takes strength to be able to do that, especially towards your “enemies”. I admire SB’s energy and passion, I only wonder what those could do on another kind of “battlefield”.

What kind of gathering do you think has a chance to stand against the devil: one united by fear or one united by love? Would you truly be able to say to a man who was brainwashed and it’s pointing a gun at you that you forgive and love him?

I totally agree with taking steps and having an attitude against any actions that hurt people. As long as this attitude comes from understanding and love, and not from fear or revenge. I also believe that the one behind the trigger needs as much love and compassion as his victim, because he might suffer or have suffered also.

"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

There are many stories of Christian saints, and various masters from other cultures, who had such peace and serenity within themselves that in the area surrounding the place where they lived or walked nobody was fighting, not even the beasts...

Maybe here lies the Path, the Truth and the Life Christ invited us to. Into understanding and conquering our own demons and winning our own wars…

Maybe some of you are familiar with the term of Jihad and you have heard about the violent acts made on behalf of it – something like the Crusades in their time. Here’s something about it: “The term "Jihad" used without any qualifiers is generally understood in the West to be referring to holy war on behalf of Islam. In broader usage and interpretation, the term has accrued both violent and non-violent meanings. It can simply mean striving to live a moral and virtuous life, spreading and defending Islam as well as fighting injustice and oppression, among other things. The relative importance of these two forms of jihad is a matter of controversy.”

So, I guess the choice is with all of us, between love and fear [as hate, violence and resentments only come from it], as we all have to go into our own Holy War.

May God’s grace guide you!

Liana

I don't think you are the best informed person on this blog. I do research more than I open my my mouth. I opined not to present some info that seriously points to the title of this blog! Go live in la-la land! You need to research into current history. And, I am being kind or else I would tell you where to stuff it!
