There is nothing in the laws of physics that disallows a plane to miss a bridge, especially in the hands of an excellent pilot. In your search to understand the atheist view of miracles, I suggest you read David Hume. Nothing 'supernatural' exists, by definition.

or maybe the 3500 victims of 9/11 at the World Trade Center
the police and firemen who died there.
God is with those who survive but not with those who are killed -- is that what you are saying?
