Let's see, I made a simple comment on one of your more controversial posts, one in which I took no side, other than to point out that it takes two to make a fight, and that the Israelis, and Hamas, are both wrong for perpetuating the death and destruction they are putting themselves through. You then commenced to attack my intelligence, my writing ability, and my integrity. After I answered you in kind, you begged me to stop bugging you. Now you want to pick a fight again. In your first response, you accused me of being a psychoanalyst; well I do have a degree in psychology, and I know a paranoid schizophrenic when I see one. You really should try to stay on your meds Dave. Now you are telling me that you are a great teacher. I had plenty of teachers like you when I as young; and they were all nuns! I always attributed their orneriness to sexual frustration (let me explain for you Dave, it means they weren't getting laid) and I'm sure that is your problem also. With a personality (or lack there of) like yours, I can understand why. You call yourself soul builder, but you should be calling yourself EGO builder; because your ego is so huge, and your mind so small, that you can't comprehend other people's opinions that differ from yours without lashing out at them. If you are a teacher, learn how to use English words and phrases. If not then you will be fought for the simple reason that your use of language warrants it....this is all backed by the feeling that you can successfully intimidate or defeat your enemy. You really can't! If you do not understand an issue, say so. Don't pretend that you know all of it because of how it impacts on you. Study the subject then see if you need to make any clarifications, additions or deletions! I taught for many years!

I do not doubt for a second the earnest desire of anyone here to be of genuine help to humanity in some way. What appals me is the relative inability of perfectly intelligent & well-meaning human beings to communicate constructively for the common good. I can see why the UN is largely ineffective in many instances. I cannot but feel helpless for not knowing how to orient my own writings for a higher common purpose at large. Dave, first of all, I don't have a club, nor do I have an agenda, as you seem to. I personally feel that all killing is wrong, and there are no motivations, or obscure, quotes, in someone's important book to justify killing. I chose life, and love; over power, and death a long time ago. Being right or wrong is of no importance to me, I simply follow my heart, and allow others to follow theirs. peace, mike

I did reply to your previous comment. George Galloway is one of my heroes and his views are like mine. The United Nations leadership have views like mine. Much of non-Israel/American leadership have views like mine. Israel is being taken to the International Criminal Court in the Hague for its current war crimes. News-starved people will support anything. I am not news-starved. Did you know that members of both sides of the house in England wanted the foreign minister to ship the Israeli Ambassador home? Did you know that pubs in New Zealand are refusing to serve Israelis until this massacre is over? Did you seriously think that I am the only one with this view of that genocide? Having regained my temper I feel a need to apologise for my previous entry, which was a wonderful example of violent communication   I yet have a long way to grow. I am sorry for the generalisations, and accusations - name calling never helps.

 

I do actually admire your passion and honesty, SB, and I can easily agree that this war needs to stop.  If you can offer suggestions other than writing to my mp or signing online petitions (both done) then I would be grateful for the input.

 

The point I was attempting to make (and obviously failing) is that a non-violent solution needs to be found.  We all know that 90% of this war is down to maybe 30 people – the 30 people who are not even in any danger, and the everyday citizen of Israel knows little of Palestine other than the reports of terrorist attacks attributed to them.  This fight has been going on for a long time and nobody ever wins a fight… both sides get nothing but damage.

 

I do feel the same about calling people names and ridiculing them in public, surely it is better to encourage them to truly think about their beliefs?  I think our exchange has been a great example of the result of name calling and fighting… neither of us changed our position at all – we just shouted at each other more.

 

So, I am sorry for the offensive overtones in my posts, and I hope they did not cause serious offense.

 

On the plus side – at least you know I will speak my mind if I disagree

I am sorry SB, but if for you the ultimate expression of your version of Christianity is to wilfully attack and harm somebody for no benefit - your violence has not stopped harm in Gazza, or Israel or even made anyone think about it more than they already were, you have shifted the focus entirely into your attack on another blogger - then I must admit you are part of the reason I do not consider myself Christian.

Your calls for nuking Israel I put down for an over abundance of passion, but I am beginning to see that for you violence is a way of life, which makes you no different from either side on that conflict.  Violence is the issue, the excuse for it on both sides will change as circumstance demand.

There is good and evil in each. I always give more links by Jewish people because they are closer and so know best the problems in the middle-east. It is not important that everyone agrees with me! That is mis-stating the issue. When somebody who says that Christ lives in them aligns with the perpetrators of a massacre, on a blog that responded to mine, I seriously call into question the nature of the person. Christ would never support land-stealers, murderers of children, or liars. I was not brought up to be that kind of Christian. Trees have life, believe it or not, and they must suffer when branches break. My present posts are on war in Gaza. Hence the reports. If you think that I am villifying an individual or group, it means that you have decided on their innocence. Then, it would not make sense for me to continue this 'hatred and rage', as you put it! Your version of me is only imaginary!

And no, the wind causing trees to sway is not violence, it is not attempting to cause harm, exclude or vilify a group or individual.  If it causes this much rage and hatred, my friend, I would seriously recommend that you look at why it is so important to you that everyone agrees with you.

Personally my thought would be that if God did create man (postulating his existence, of course), then if he wanted them all to be exactly the same, surely he could have made them that way.  Perhaps people are different for a reason that man (as a lesser being) cannot comprehend. 

Either way I honestly believe that life should be about inclusion and nurturing. I have never seen anything good accomplished by hatred and rage and I honestly doubt I ever will.

Thanks! My views on judging others and forgiveness are in previous posts! When people claim Christ is dwelling in them and supports the blood-letting in Gaza....That is overt hypocrisy! Who will Jesus support in this genocide? Your interpretation of violence is not the truth. The wind causing trees to sway is also violence! As for showing a light, I'm having serious thoughts about continuing that. Why should I do anything for people who do nothing for me? The Gazans don't do anything for me, but they need help. When nobody helps me, that is time to make a decision. Most of what I wanted to say is already said in my previous blogs anyway! Beyond that, let people sort their own way thru like I did!

Pardon me! This is a writer's blog. When you post an entry then you expose it to the scrutiny of bloggers! I find it very hypocritical that someone who comments on my blog that the spirit of Christ dwells in her (she has done this repeatedly) should gleefully support what is being done to the Gazans. If christ was in there I would expect compassion and probably wishes for peace! Obviously, Christ isn't in there! As for putting down others thoughts and opinions, consider this...This is a writers blog not a chat-room of friend-making site. While keeping good relations is important, the content of blogs and comments comes first in importance! That is where I am located. I am not the smooch-smooch type, just as I said in my first week on this blog site! I do not take part in those little clubs that exist on blogit where sweet-mouth conversations pervade. 'Cruel'? What's more cruel than wanting these people with nowhere to hide...to be dead. Spiritual is not the 'sweet-mouth' type of interactions and promises to pray for people. It is being a good person...not an effective public relations gimmick. Like I said, I call it as I see it! I have many 'fortes' but being evil is not one of them. Can you say that about yourself?

the man that worrys about the suffering of other countries doesnt have it in his heart to allow another to speak their mind and how they feel you are not God so dont judge your fellow bloggers, I thought there for a while I saw the kind side of you, but that must of been an act.  I dont keep up with this stuff and the suffering of others in other countries as I feel there is enough depressing news, so I cant comment on what you speak.  No I dont have a clue but I dont need a clue to know you said some real damaging words about sam and she doesnt deserve that kind of action from you or anyone.  We have a right to our opinions but to back stab her like that how Christian is that anyway?

I'm afraid I agree with Hazel on this

even though I disagree with all sides of this "war".  I think there is no need for violence, ever, be it with bullets and bombs or with words and phrases violence only ever begets anger, hatred and fear - themselves the fathers of violence.

I'm sorry SB, but this post showed very little love for thy neighbour, Sam.

WAY TO HARSH !

I don't know what sam's comment entailed, but no one one here deserves such cruel and mean words written about them. I suppose you blocked her from commenting , as well, so that it would be impossible for her to defend herself. I think it's admirable that you stand by your beliefs, but take a pill. You shouldn't point out a fellow blogger and write such horrible things about them. Take a deep breathe..... wtf.

This exchange did not take place on my blog. You do not have a clue as to what went on. So, please keep you judgements to yourself! I called it as I saw it! I cannot have people proclaiming to be SAVED on my blog, yet not having an iota of compassion for the suffering of other people...however dis-similar they may be to me. And I would block you too if your bloodthirstiness got upgraded!
