Excellent poem!
I love the last 2 lines especially.... and accepting what we cannot change, and changing what we can today. A Perfect view!

Oh my dear Sammy,  you so impress me with your knowledge of the metrics of creating.  Your poems are so deep into the  knowledge of your craft that they fascinate my write-whatever-comes mind.  To think that you can write so beautifully while still counting and rhyming astounds me.  Great poem and lesson :-) Love you  much :-) xoxo

OPUS #1
I love this and I also love that you included a little education along with it. While studying poetry I was always interested in the mechanics. If only I could find my old notebooks - I guess it's time to start a new one. :) Thank a bunch for sharing.
