Go to Malcolm's midwife: Words from the heart

I'm a believer in smiling at yourself in mirrors. It's good practice for smiling at others and soon becomes a natural reaction whenever you meet someone. Also, for some strange reason, it makes you feel better.

I like the idea of an inner smile! January goes too fast for me because my daughter's birthday is at the end and I am always frantic trying to figure out what I am going to do! Now February is another story! lol sam

I do the same as Troosha, but my goal is one person per day..five is quite a challenge. Think I'll brighten up my winter by rising to her call! Anybody else game? Malcolm?

Smiles lead to giggles which release the good chemicals into your blood streaming thoughout your body. Laughter even when imitated will still release these endophins and help you be healthy and positive! January blahs can be so challenging !Cheers Malcolm Have a good week of smiles!

Malcolm
Here’s my daily challenge (which is as much for myself as it is for others) – I try to make at least 5 people smile as I travel through my day. The exchange might be as simple as telling a store clerk/cashier that I like her hair. She’ll look up from the drudgery of her job, thank me, and smile. One down… 4 to go. I love the challenge and my spirits are lifted when I succeed.

Good to hear that the blues are receding a little
I think most of us have the same battle... the furore of Christmas is over and we are left with the long hard drag towards the rebirth of Spring. This is my time to rediscover one vanquished fears and deal with them once more... and yet each time does get a little easier, so perhaps there is hope that one day I will enjoy the season

I hope the same is true for you

Ahhh, what IS it about January anyway? I always expect it to bring a feeling of newness and new beginnings, but am always blindsided by the blues. I, too, am going to try the smiling today. Hope you day goes well!
