Extraordinary!
Ok try this: read 'Of a dream' whilst playing Genesis's 'Entangled' from that outstanding album 'A trick of the tail' then close your eyes. I gurantee you will be caried upon a cloud to a lavish garden with flowing water and a thousand birds and all that is dear to you. You will not want to wake up. Try it. Excellent work.

Shelly
Indeed, I am enjoying this! Dreams and nightmares - the two often dwell closely together, even in our waking hours...

Nightmares and dreams...
..oft become the themes. Excellent as usual, sam.

I agree-powerful imagery.  And especially potent is the nightmare to be forgiven.  We all, I believe, have one of those.

Just loved the tone and tenor of the poem. For one, dream is one of my favourite themes. The way you treat the subject is fascinating. If you can produce gems like this by 'messing around', then may I request you to retain this habit.
