Perspectives
This bill is, of course, small potatoes compared to the coming stimulus package, but even here, perhaps a bit of perspective is in order.  That natural gas being walled off in Wyoming?  Seems that that annual production number is the total.  That's right, one year's worth of natural gas production from Alaska and Texas is found under that land in Wyoming.  So, maybe the world as we know it will end one year early without it. 

And the salmon thing in California?  Settlement to a lawsuit.  Sounds like a legal imperative.  And who knows what 500 salmon in a friendly environment may become in a decade or so?  Then you can calculate their value per pound.

I don't favor earmarks, and I wish Congress would spend its time on more important issues, even if this Bill did begin life months ago.  But I prefer some depth in reporting.

Nice prospects. But the Weimar Republic is no longer the standard for hyper-inflation - now it's Zimbabwe, where in October of last year the inflation rate surged to 231,000,000%, according to the UK's Guardian newspaper...
