Naut, this might be bad for your diet, but maybe good for you:
I suspect that Blogit fills a certain calorie count and nutrition for some of us... Several people around here--you among them--serve up regular feasts, and good wholesome light fare, too.
How's that taste?

Mariaki,
I can see your point, and agree--but have to add that even parental love sometimes struggles with conditions and issues, and not all kids or parents have the benefit of the experience of unconditional love.

Our starvation for approval or for the love of others is because there’s an emptiness that needs to be filled and we think it can be filled by external relationships. Oh sure, external relationships can boost us up, catch us when we’re falling, enrich our joy by sharing it with us, or perhaps even dry our tears but the buck stops here, so to speak. It is our responsibility to peal away the layers of self hatred or degradation and discover all those characteristic about ourselves that are loveable. The human journey is incomplete if we do not take the time to self-nurture and learn to love the uniqueness of who we are. It’s then that we can give of ourselves rather than simply take. I enjoyed reading both posts, Ciel. It’s an important topic.

Your corner of the universe...
...apparently affords you an eagle's eye perspective on love, because you see it perfedctly.

From my corner of the universe to yours my friend
as far as I can see the only unconditional love is one of parent to child all the other forms are somewhere in between; many blessings and thanks for being in mine

"It asks for balance, not perfection; It requires insight, patience and humor. This kind of love is a healing love that progresses to an ever-more-whole experience "You have an excellent view from your corner ciel . Great post ,very well expressed.

Beginnings
This is getting into deep psychology, which has always been problematic for me. I can't say I love myself. But I've managed to find acceptance.
