Re: I agree with u. We hear what we want to hear and

I am beyond very disappointed with the world news organizations. It should have been on CNN in this dumb country. I say dumb, because we are uninformed and this is why, real news, the kind that would encourage our hopes for peace, those pieces are NOT covered.

Ah, to have intelligent and informed people 'reading' the news again...maybe they might even investigate something on their own, rather than just reading FAXES and emails and Reuters, AP, etc. America.

Thanks for putting in your two cents here.

Re:

rockingrector, exactly, it gets written up in the news and followers hear of it and word spreads through fatwas that this behavior will not be tolerated nor condoned.

And why don't we cover What We Want to Hear Them Say when they actually say it?? That I actually cannot understand.

Re: benzinha

I remember, WileyJohn, when certain sinners could not be buried within the walls of the church's cemetery. How mean was that?? But, that was par for the old-fashioned course.

We are more understanding nowadays and stupid young men who are co-erced by mean old men to kill others and then to die themselves, those boys should be buried.

However, how else can the mosque leaders get their anger at these death squads out into the ears of their followers, unless they do something dramatic, like refusing burial?

How disappointing to humanity, to use their gods' names this way, in the continuing killing of one another.

I agree with u. We hear what we want to hear and
newspapers also pick up news that they choose to. I didn't see this news in any newspaper but I heard this news first hand from Muslim leaders here.

Well, since we are in India
all our newspapers had this story.  It was a way for the relogious clergy to protest and make their voices heard.  I was very glad to read of this.  It's about time they spoke up - in words and deeds.

This is VERY interesting - I haven't heard a peep over here in the UK, either on the TV or in the papers. What a powerful way to protest.

Nope, I never saw it in any paper here. I think it's digusting not to bury the dead no matter what they did while alive. As far as I'm concerned, in not burying the dead they are as terroristic as any other terrorist.

What a post this one is luv, starts the mind going off in so many directions like, let's make all religions illegal on earth
