- Go to How Do People Practice To Do Splits On Ice Skates?
Dunno!
I can't skate either - I think I'm the only Canadian who can't...

LadyC,
I was in dance and gymnastics for about 14 years (til the knee finally gave out for the last time) and I learned how to do back flips and other stuff on a padded mat. (Maybe I can use all the times I landed on my head as an excuse for my brain? LOL) Anyway, then I learned how to do them on the practice balance beam which is only about 3 inches tall. I was never good at the uneven bars even though I'm small. My best thing was floor exercise...dancing was more my thang but I was also on the GROUND! As far as ice skaters? NO FLIPPIN' CLUE!!
