Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Nonsense
Okay, so you agree that Al Quaeda and Hamas are similar, which was my point.  So maybe proper approaches to dealing with them should be similar too.  So we see what works for Israel, and maybe we learn from it.  We don't just kill everyone at random, because that provokes a bad reaction from the 'civilians', we address the actual threats, but we do not deliberately inflict pain for no purpose (i.e. we do not torture them to death because it makes us feel, what, strong?).

And you said Al Quaeda and Communists are fellow travelers, and denied that Muslims claim that Allah and Christian God are one and the same.  Maybe you don't care what they think.  But that is what they think, whether you recognize it or not, and calling me names doesn't change that.  It is wise to know your enemy.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Nonsense

Childish?  I insult you because you defy and mock employ "simplistic" common sense with acedemic bullshit that only serves to make things more complicated tha nthey need to be. You are an overeducated moron aka a tenure receiving wannabe dictator that is used to having his ass kissed by scared college kids, pure and simple.

But please, refresh my memory, what is the topic of disscussion? The sublties between al Queada and Hamas? Who f--king cares?? Thats my point. They are all assholes who need to be KILLED.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Nonsense
I've noticed that your comments all avoid the topic of the discussion.  Does that mean you have nothing to say about my analogy between Hamas and Al Quaeda?  Because it looks like acknowledgment that I was right, and an attempt to cover yourself behind childish insults.  I'm okay with that.

it was still sub moronic, and evidence of an individual educated beyond his intellectual capacity. Dangerous.

that was sub moronic. But very academic. Thank you professor.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Nonsense
So you have trouble making links between terrorist groups?  I thought the analogy was obvious, but in future I'll try to remember to make every elementary connection for you, so you don't get lost.  You see, we are fighting against Al Quaeda terrorists.  Israel is fighting against Palestinian terrorists.  See the similarity?  Now, what works against one terrorist group may well work against another.  Got it?  And what incites one population to hatred and violence may well incite another population.  Still with me on this?  This country is based, largely, on moral laws based, not in idealism, but the realities of human nature and human behavior.  That includes the ban on torture.  I doesn't work as a true deterrent; it pisses people off and loses the torturers all respect from everyone, including themselves.  History does have something to teach.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Nonsense
Your insults to me or Star Trek just illustrate one of your weaknesses; you seem unable to accept wisdom from unexpected places.  That severely limits your access to wisdom.

No, I don't believe all Muslims want to kill me.  Certainly the ones I work with don't.  Yes, I know there are some who would like nothing better, and yes I support taking appropriate action to stop them and destroy them.  But I oppose inappropriate action, and I can tell the difference.  I criticize Bush's actions in Iraq because they were misguided, based on faulty analysis of the available intelligence, incredibly naive assumptions about imposing democracy on Iraqis, and very poor timing.  We were at war in Afghanistan, but rather than finish the job there, Bush chose to declare Iraq the center of the 'War on Terror' based on his fantasies, and left Afghanistan to fester.  The results are obvious.

Most Muslims, and particularly most educated, middle class Muslims, don't want to kill anyone.  Getting them on our side helps.  Just ask General Petraeus.  So our best approach to dealing with Islamist terrorists is to pursue them militarily where feasible, pursue them through intelligence and law enforcement where feasible, and to find common ground with the general population in the countries they live in and come from, so we get local help in rooting them out.  Screaming and calling them all names just makes Al Quaeda's recruiting easier.

So this time, I'll quote a non-fictional figure I admire:  Talk softly and carry a big stick.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Nonsense
I didn't mention Palestinians. I mentioned al Quaeda. But I agree it is nonsense from the perspective that it will never happen (because of a spinelessness/drunken stupidity) in our country. But as a deterrent, it would work like a charm.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Nonsense
Screaming nonsense is just evidence that you are literally scared out of your wits.  I'm not.  You seem to think that the only alternative to not over-reacting is not reacting.  It isn't.  YOu can react rationally instead.  Like Israel is.  The Israelis are not rounding up Palestinians and crucifying them; they are addressing the actual threat.  Calling me a coward won't change that.

Re: Re: Re: Nonsense

Thank you so much for revealing what liberals are all about and that is Star Trek. Quoting some fictional character from a TV show such as a Klingon in order to make your point proves me right once again about everything I say. Get in the real world. Do you think for one minute that the Muslims in every middle eastern nation want to kill you and I? If you don't then maybe you should. How do you defeat that? Not by sitting around debating some liberal peace talk crap while they kill you. WAKE UP! You must meet it with force. You can talk yourself blue and nothing happens. How many years has this been going on now? Hell, they are all terrorist, hamas, al-qaeda, Syria, Iran, Palestine, etc. This is what I have said for years. Over- react? And the likes of yourself, liberals, are they very ones who have given hell to President Bush about Iraq! Then if we sat here and did nothing you would call us isolationist as you did in the case when Pat Buchanan ran for president back in 1992. make up your mind if that is possible. Liberal political thought is worthless!

I am tired of a bunch of thugs who worship some Mohammed who commands death to those who do not convert going around wanting to kill somebody everyday. The hell with them! Get your brain in the game please!

Re: Re: Nonsense
Don't mistake calm for weakness.  There is value in law.  Even the Klingons know that revenge is a dish best served cold.  People like you over-react and lose control of your faculties.  People like me save you from yourselves.

Re: Nonsense

first point: just dumb

2nd paragraph: typical cowardly hogwash. You are a balless weakling

3rd paragraph: total lying stupidity.

4the point: I suggest you get a cat SCAN, maybe a script for some testosterone gel, and some prozac.

IN SUMMARY: People like you cause this country to be weak.

Nonsense
First off, crucifixion is hardly the most cruel form of torture or execution.  I suppose you claim that because of the Christian mythology you espouse, but perhaps you should look beyond your mythology, and study some reality.

Second, denial of such things as due process and basic morality in the fight against terrorists is both counterproductive and immoral, and both of those matter.  We have prohibitions against cruel and unusual punishment for good reasons, and we must abide by them, or lose our humanity.  If you can't see that, maybe you've already lost yours.  Rational and cold application of our laws is sufficient in the fight against terrorism.

Third, as I see it, Islamist terrorists are only a small step separated from fundamentalist Christians; they are acting according to their deeply held religious beliefs.  Your declaration that they are somehow demonic is provocative and insupportable in any rational sense.  Indeed, your proposal is not at all separated morally or practically from their declarations, as far as I can see.  If I agree that they are evil, what else might that lead me to conclude?

I won't suggest that you re-read your Bible; I suspect you could find justification in it for your attitude.  Just another reason to question your conclusions.
