This book I must find. I tend to take everything personally. Thanks Pat.

In spite of my deep-seated aversion to self-help books, I will admit that these are worthwhile precepts...

Excellent precepts to live by...
...and the second one about not taking anything personally because...
"
Nothing others do is because of you.
What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream."
I've discovered that no amount of persuasion changes a person's perspective, except for the most open minded and intellectually honest among us...who are already inclined to question their premise.
As for the rest...screw 'em. lol.

Don't take anything personally. Nothing others do is because of you. What
others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When
you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim
of needless suffering.<<<I could use this dear...
