Re: Somewhere in that book
I feel that there are some people who feel that simply their works will get them into heaven or being at the church door everytime it opens will do the same. I disagree. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior when I was 12 years old. Yes, I am a sinner. I do not appreciate God being ridiculed. There are frauds in every segment of life. The devil is a fraud as he is deceptive. The others have their own beliefs about religion and so be it. This is my belief. Simple as that.

And Jews and Muslims and Hindus and agnostics and - oh, anyone who wants to be there (see C. S. Lewis, 'The Great Divorce').

I think the message of the Lord is quite clear! Doctrines will be what they will be! For me I think it is most important to follow the teachings of Jesus! I like the question you pose very much! It is a great point to ponder! Happy New Year! sam

I  like that passage.

There are many Christians who proclaim their Christianity ("Lord, Lord") yet who have yet to act like Christians.

As per the mythical kingdom -- if you see it as a "kingdom" as we understand it, then you can easily see the mythology.

Yet if you see it as "spiritual realms", or state of mind, which I believe is the picture that the speaker wants to have of this, then more of these things become much more understandable.

Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
I am speaking of true repentance. Paul said, "Let every man work out his own salvation with fear & trembling before God." I just need to be in agreement with God. We all will answer to God and He judges who has rightly divided the Word of God. I pan to be in the number that makes it and I trust that you will too! Come and go with me to my Father's house....Blessings and Happy New Year!!

Somewhere in that book
Not all who cry "Lord, Lord" will enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Biblical justification for calling all those other Christians frauds (or maybe just lost souls).  Of course, there is truth in this quote; no one who cries anything will enter that mythical kingdom.
