Sam is right. Health is the most important issue, but I hope you can get this sorted out. Is there no way to discuss it again with your doctor? Hoping 2009 will offer you better things.

Awful
That's just terrible what your doctor did. Hopefully the options provided to you will be of benefit to you.

In every state there is a board that you can report him to
In addition to that State Medical Board, which licenses physicians, I think that they all have a subsidiary board more related to your case, the State Medical Ethics Board. I know that you said he has been your primary for ten years, but I would scout around for a replacement for when the state revokes his license to pratice medicine.
Bona Fortuna!

I'm not the biggest hell-raiser you'll find, but I don't know if I'd be able to let this slide. Incompetence is one thing. Knowing concealing incompetence is criminal.

My doctor told me up front when she had to take my driving privileges away due to seizures! It is hard to trust after that one! Good luck with what needs to be done to regain your license! But please take care of your health first! Happy New Year, it will be a happy one because I am praying for you and I have every confidence it will be great! sam
