Good for you Pat I'm sure your poetry will win.
I am getting some ready for a 2009 book too and hoping to get a poem or two published. It is difficult to pick isn't it and then when I was sure that one poem was just as good as it could get I sent it to my friend and he did an edit job on it that made me see how unready it was.

You keep so busy girl. I just love reading about your day. You put me to shame.
This post reminds me that I haven't been over to see Sis in the nursing center for a time--not since days before Christmas. Tomorrow afternoon would be a good time for a visit. When she called me on the phone yesterday, she sounded so good and interested in life compared to her impossibly depressed state when she was still living at home. There is a smile in her voice now that was missing for a long time.

I can't wait to be in a place that allows me to go for walks in Dec
without turning into an icicle.

Among other things, you always provide me with a weather forecast! Whatever the weather in your neck of the woods, it's sure to be like that here a day later, lol.
And it's great to hear that old Fred is getting back into shape! As to the Seattle thing...well, we don't have to agree on everything, do we?
